Latest information about the DigiGlue project in the post of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Saarland
At a press event of the European Cultural Park Bliesbruck-Reinheim on July 1, 2022, the current status of the “DigiGlue” project was presented and the first results were presented. The Minister of Education and Culture of the Saarland, Christine Streichert-Clivot, also visited the park and was able to see the latest results and the digitalization process on site. In the project, 12,000 fragile Roman wall painting fragments are digitized by the scanning systems of the MusterFabrik and can then be virtually reassembled.
An “DigiGlue” begeistert mich besonders, dass hier unser antikes kulturelles Erbe und modernste digitale Technologie zusammenkommen. Die Rekonstruktion der antiken Wandmalereien zeigt, dass die Digitalisierung auch im kulturellen Bereich ganz neue und vielversprechende Möglichkeiten eröffnet. Damit schaffen wir nicht nur für die Wissenschaft, sondern auch für die Besucher:innen des Europäischen Kulturparks einen echten Mehrwert.
